Volunteer With Us
We welcome people who want to give their time and skills to support young people at Roots. Whether you have a professional background, a particular talent, or lived experience of your own, there may be a role for you here.
Mentoring
Volunteer mentors work alongside young people on a one-to-one basis, offering a consistent, trusted presence that can make a real difference to how a young person feels about themselves and their future.
Music
Music plays an important role at Roots. We welcome volunteers who can help run music sessions and activities, whether that’s playing an instrument, leading a group, or simply sharing a love of music with young people.
Lived experience
Young people who have been through similar experiences can be a powerful source of hope and understanding for others. If you have lived experience of school non-attendance or SEMH difficulties and want to share your journey, we’d love to hear from you.
